The 2012 Afton Fair will have a different look this year. Do to unfortunate circumstances beyond our control we will not be having a midway provider. However this does not mean that we have nothing to offer. The Board has been working very hard with the help of some new volunteers to formulate new and interesting additions. We are working on bringing back the old time agricultural fair with emphasis on bringing you entertainment, education, and just a lot of old fashion fun.
As always we will be having our horse shows, dairy shows, floral hall will be open as well as our antiques building. The small animals display will be open and of course there will be harness racing. This year we are also hosting the Pink Faith Walk for Breast Cancer, fireworks, tractor pulls with T.O.Y.S. and garden tractor pulls. On Friday night there will be races with I88 Speedway. Come try out our food vendors of popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream and so much more. This year instead of charging $3.00 a person we will charge $3.00 a car to park. This is in keeping with affordable fun for the family. In the spirit of giving back to the community, on Friday night the price of parking will be a non perishable food item to be donated to our local food bank.
We are looking for demonstrations of a saw mill, hit and miss motors, any old farming equipment, black smith work and any other items of interest. You can reach us at 607-639-1525 with your ideas.

We have a unique offer for organizations this year to help you raise money for your group. The Afton Fair is offering you an opportunity to come and set up games, activities or raffles to raise money for your group. We have numerous spots open for you to choose from. We hope you will take this opportunity to come and join us to raise money for your group or organization.
In keeping with the theme of an old fashioned fair this year we are going to have our first Community Parade on Satuday, July 14th. We would love for your group to decorate a truck, tractor, or wagon and bring it to the fair. Please contact us at the Afton Fair Office at 607-639-1525 on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 9:00 am to noon for more information. We hope to see you at the fair!
On Saturday, June 2, 2012, The Afton Driving Park will host its first flea market on the fairgrounds. Yard sale items, crafters, vendors, horse tack and much more. Food will be available! With rising gas prices going to one spot saves time and money. So mark your calendar and rent a space, stop by and shop or do both! The rules, entry form and a flyer are available for download below. Please help get the word out by putting up a couple of flyers in your area!

The Afton Driving Park Fun Horse Shows return in 2012 with a total of five shows planned. The scheduled dates include May 19th, June 16th, August 4th, September 8th and a Spook Show on October 6 with a rain date of October 13. Also the the Afton Fair Open Horse Show will take place on July 14th and 15th. The rules and entry form for the shows are now available. Download Adobe Acrobat if needed. The photo album for the 2011 Afton Fair is now available on the website.
We are in search of volunteers to help out with maintenance of the grounds as well as during the fair. We would especially love to see increased involvement from stockholders. If you are interested in volunteering, please call the fair office at 607-639-1525 or contact us through our contact form.
The staff of I-88 Speedway are preparing for a big season in 2012. Track repairs are in progress and the 2012 schedule has been posted. Some highlights include the Wade Decker Memorial Race, a ROC Modified event and a ROC Sportsman event.
