The Blue Ribbon Cloggers at the Afton Fair

Come see the Blue Ribbon Cloggers on Friday, July 10!

The Blue Ribbon Cloggers are a not-for-profit dance team based in Milford, NY. They enjoy performing at a variety of events such as the New York State Fair, County Fairs, Craft Shows, other Festivals and in 2002 the did an opening performance for Country Star Randy Travis at the Glimmerglass State Park in Cooperstown, N.Y. They also enjoy dancing at nursing and adult homes.

The team dances to a wide range of music to please all ages and tastes, such as, Country, Irish, Modern, Oldies (Roaring 20"s), Polkas and much more. The late Dick Thompson of the "Driftwoods" said of the cloggers "They're the best thing since sliced bread…I love them!!"

This past year they've been joined by their dancing dog "Job" who is a real "ham" and will steal the show, and your heart too!

If you go by Milford some Tuesday evening you might hear what sounds like machine-gun fire or a chorus of typewriters, but it's only the Cloggers practicing for their up-coming performances.

When asked if they do competitive dancing they will ALL tell you "NO". We just dance for "THE LOVE of IT."

Keep looking and listen and you may have them in your area.

In fact they will be in our area in July. They will dance at the Afton Fair on Friday, July 10th, at 5:00 PM at the 88 BC/Afton Sertoma Stage.

The fair will be held from July 8th through July 12th, 2009. Come check out the Blue Ribbon Cloggers on the 10th!
