2010 Demolition Derby

The 2010 Afton Fair Demolition Derby Rules and Entry Form are now available. Please make sure that you call the phone number listed on the form to get your car number.

We are looking forward to another successful Demolition Derby at The Afton Fair this year. This year's derby will be held on Saturday, July 24 and will start at 4:00 PM.

Dave Smith wins at The NYS Fair



Used with permissionCongratulations to Dave Smith of Mount Upton for taking 1st place at the New York State Fair Demolition Derby while representing the Afton Fair. He won in a 1978 Cordoba in a 60 to 70 car event. Dave took 2nd at The Afton Fair Event on July 12th.

Dave started competing in Demolition Derbies 13 years ago with his first event being at the Afton Fair. Thanks to Dave for representing the Afton Fair and to sponsor Victoria Gregory.

Demolition Derby at the Afton Fair

Sunday afternoon the 2009 Afton Fair Demolition Derby kicked off under sunny skies and a standing room only crowd. Their were thirty-four cars that ran in five heats. Bill and Rhonda Barriger organized the derby this year for the first time in many and resulted in a better derby than the Afton Fair had seen in quite a few years.

Bill and Rhonda would like to thank the tractor operators who helped clear off the cars, the officials, and especially the drivers for putting on a great shows as well as our sponsors.
