School/Grade categories are Ribbons only.
Entries not in place by 10 A.M. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 will be disqualified.
No Exhibitor Ticket required as entries will be made by grade delegate.

Section 1 - Record Keeping One (1) entry per class per exhibitor
Premium Ribbons
Classes:

  1. Production record - Best Milk record keeping by vocational agriculture student (FFA).
  2. Dairy record - recorded by 4-H club boy or girl, to include barn record No. 1 and No.2.
  3. No more than one record per person.
  4. Poultry Record - record of poultry project by student of vocational agriculture (FFA).
  5. Poultry' record - best kept record of poultry, project by 4-H club boy' or girl.
  6. Garden record - record of a garden project.
  7. Horse record - record of a horse project.
  8. Herd analysis record.
  9. 4-H achievement record.
  10. Crop records - records of a crop of 20 acres or more.

Section 2 - Electrical
Premium Ribbons
Classes:

  1. An article made such as a trouble lamp, test lamp, portable bench light, extension cords, Pin-up or study lamps, circuit splice boards and the rewiring of an old lamp (Judging emphasis based primarily on electrical techniques and skills).

Section 3 - Metal, Leather, Etc.
Premium Ribbons
Classes:

  1. Any article crafted by youth as an industrial arts project and not included in sections 1 & 2 (such as: saddle bags, poultry hooks, rope halter, etc.)

Section 4 - Recycling
General Rules:

  1. An article exhibited must be completed to the point of use.
  2. An explanation must be attached indicating the object(s) being recycled, what changes were made and what the final use will be.

Premium Ribbons
Classes:

  1. Recycled paper.
  2. Recycled clothing or accessory item - such as clothing or fabric takeover to a quilt or pillow.
  3. Other items that are re-created for new use instead of being discarded.

DEPEPARTMENT Y-09 Youth Record Books - Miscellaneous

General Rules:

  1. Enter only well constructed, worthy items.
  2. If displayed on plywood or something similar - display can not be larger than 24" x 24".
