Culinary Department Classes
Rules
- No food that is unworthy shall be awarded a premium regardless of competition.
- All items are to wrapped in plastic wrap.
- All items are to be made from scratch.
- All entries must be removed from pans or tins, excluding pies and canned items.
- Pie must be in 9" glass or metal (tin) pans.
- Pie entries containing egg or milk will not be accepted.
- Crusts of breads and rolls are not to be buttered after baking.
- A sample will be taken from entry for display and the remainder returned Thursday July 22nd between 3pm and 6pm.
- Entries baked in paper cups will be disqualified.
- Any entry consists of l loaf, 5 rolls, 5 muffins, 5 donuts or 1/2 cake.
- Canning entries are to have exhibitor tag taped to jar.

- Yeast breads
- Quick breads
- Drop Cookies
- Bar Cookies
- Rolled Cookies
- Special Occasion Cookies
- Refrigerator Cookies
- Unfrosted cake - Layered or sheet
- Frosted cake - Layered or sheet
- Decorated cakes, may use a cake mix or a decorated cardboard box of Styrofoam form
- Sponge cake, unfrosted
- Angel food cake, unfrosted
- Plain white cake, unfrosted, single layer
- Brownies
- Whole grain muffins

- Baking Powder Biscuits
- Nutritional cake - using fruit or vegetables
