2009 Floral Hall Report

There were a lot of creative and wonderful entries for the Afton Fair Floral Hall this year. It is amazing the amount of time that went into creating the entries! There were three new chairpersons this year: Cindy Kinsey - Open Sewing, Marge Miner - Youth Sewing and Maureen Ryan - Open and Youth Photography. These ladies did a terrific job throughout the year and their efforts were rewarded with the wonderful entries that came in.

Many people contributed to the success of Floral Hall. The judges, new and returning, as well as numerous volunteers who are too many to name, who freely gave their time to help Floral Hall have a highly successful year. Thank you to all Chairpersons, judges and other volunteers who made Floral Hall what it was.

We are still seeking additional volunteers who would like to become chairpersons, judges, and representatives for Floral Hall. We want to get the word out to the local community and get more people and the schools involved by encouraging people to enter their handi-work. The time to start working on this in now. Please contact the Afton Fair Office at 607-639-1525 or at the email listed below under the Floral Hall Cookbook section to volunteer or make recommendations. We value your input!

2010 Floral Hall Cookbook

Floral Hall is accepting recipes for a cookbook planned for 2010. We are very excited and looking forward to seeing all the wonderful recipes that are out there. Recipes can be submitted online, by email, or by regular mail.
