Afton Driving Park and Afton Fair Newsletters

The Board of the Afton Driving Park has developed a newsletter to highlight the events and happenings at the Afton Driving Park, including the Afton Fair. A link to a PDF (download Adobe Acrobat if needed) of each newsletter is provided below. There will no longer be a HTML version of the newsletter posted as of the 9/15/09 newsletter.

The next newsletter for the Afton Driving Park and Agricultural Association, Inc. will be released on August 30, 2010. This edition will include results from events and contests at this years fair.

If you would like to discuss usage of the driving park for events, please submit our contact form or call 607-639-1525. Be sure to leave a message.

The February 1 newsletter is now available. It includes articles about the return of Gillette Shows to the Afton Fair, the new dates for the 2010 fair, updates on the Floral Hall Cookbook and departments and classes, the NYSAAF convention and The Afton Fair on the web.

The September 15 newsletter is now available. It includes some images from the 2009 fair, updates on our 2nd place winner at the 2009 demolition derby and more. It is a two page newsletter. We will return to producing four page newsletters as we ramp up for the 2010 fair.

The June 15 newsletter is now available. It includes articles on The Southerntiersmen Barbershop Chorus and Quartets, what to do if you cannot find forms or other information about a particular event, a list of sponsors, a map of the fairgrounds with a full schedule (subject to change), and article about a special children's activity that is tied in with the Harness Racing Event and more.

04/30/2009 Newsletter
The April 30 newsletter is now available. It includes articles on admission for the 2009 fair, advertising opportunities, advance ticket sales, the open horse shows, harness racing, rabbit and poultry shows and animal exhibits. Forms to order fence advertising and advance ticket sales are attached to the hard copy newsletter. They are included here as pdf files.
