There are no entry fees. All Exhibitors must secure a $7.00 Exhibitor's Pass
from the Secretary Office at the entrance.

Rules for the Open Poultry Show

- Poultry in place by 3 pm Tuesday, July 8, 2008 and released at 9am Sunday, July 13. Any exhibitor removing exhibit before stated release time will automatically forfeit premium.
- All poultry and pigeons except waterfowl shall present proof of either having originated from the U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid clean flocks or have been found negative to a Pullorun-Typhoid
test within 90 days of the fair. Copy of test to be submitted with entry. Out-of-state- poultry must originate from an Avian Influenza monitored flock.
- Anyone wishing to have a Pullorum-Typhoid test may call the Superintendent for the time and date when veterinarian will be available to administer the test. Inspections will be made by the State Veterinarian. Any birds found affected by any contagious disease will be returned to the owner. Birds removed must be examined before return to show.
- The management assumes no responsibility in case of loss or damage to exhibits from any cause and upon this condition only are entries received.
- Only the owner or show official will be permitted to open any coop or handle any specimens
without express permission of the Superintendent.
- Exhibitor shall furnish coops in suitable condition for show and poultry containment. Exhibitors must deliver, place and remove coops at the fair. You may check with the superintendent for the availability of cages, if necessary.
- All premium checks must be cashed within 60 days of the closing of the Afton Fair. If not cashed, said monies will be considered property of the Afton Driving Park & Agricultural Assoc., Inc.
Open Poultry Show Classes
- Hen/Old Duck/Old Hen - one year or more in age
- Cockerel/Young Drake/Young Tom - under one year of age
- Pullet/Young Duck/Young Hen - under one year of age
