"The Entertainment Tent" has been renamed the "88 BC/Afton Sertoma Stage" in appreciation for the materials support and funding received from each of them that made building the stage in 2007 possible.

Horse Mania Day

Admission:
Age 18 and above - $6.00,
age 13 - 17 - $3.00,
Age 12 and under Free.

Pay one Price for rides from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM -- $12.00.

Saturday July 12th, 2008 is Horse Mania Day.

Day 1 of the annual Horse Show will begin at about 9:00 AM at the horse ring. The Junior Idol contest will take place at the 88 BC/Afton Sertoma Stage in the afternoon, followed by the Blue Ribbon Cloggers. At the Grandstands there will be pony pulls, and later a bullriding demonstration by Running Brook Rodeo. Skyline featuring Cassidy Lynn will perform at 8:00 PM at the stage.

Main Event - At the Grandstands

Running Brook Rodeo's bullriding demonstration will start at 7:00 PM in the Grandstands. Free with gate admission.

Agricultural Events

The Open Horse Show -- English & Western will begin early in the morning at the horse ring. Today they will feature the English and Western Classes.

The Northeast Brown Swiss Canton Show will be at the Cattle Barns all day.

The annual Afton Fair Pony Pull will begin at 1:00 PM in front of the Grandstands. Jim Chambers has run the Pony Pull at the Afton Fair for many years. This year's Premium Book has benn dedicated in his honor for his many years of service putting on the Pony Pull, as well as his service on the board of the Afton Driving Park.

Copyright © SkylineThere will be a Prayer Service at the 88 BC/Afton Sertoma Stage at 10:00 AM.

Kaitlyn Jackson will perform from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

TheAfton Fair Junior Idol Competition will return today with a one day event for competition from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

There will be a "Bikes for Kids Drawing" for children age 5 to 10 at 5:00 PM. Children can enter the contest by filling out a ticket at the Afton Sertoma Club. Child must be present to win.

The The Blue Ribbon Cloggers will perform from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Skyline featuring Cassidy Lynn will be on stage from 8:00 PM until closing.

The theme for this years activities at the Activity Center is "Agriculture is Everywhere". Included Activities are "Farmer for a Day". Children can try milking a cow, planting and picking vegetables and collecting eggs. They may also play tug of war, have marble races and much more. Bring your children by for some fun at the Children's Activity Center!
