The Southerntiersmen Barbershop Chorus and Quartets

We are pleased to welcome the award winning Southerntiersmen Barbershop Chorus and Quartets on Saturday, July 11!

This award winning choral group is the Binghamton Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, the largest all male sing fraternity in the world, born in April 1938. The Binghamton Chapter is the societies twenty-ninth chapter and the third chapter in New York State. They were chartered in 1943.

The Southerntiersmen have represented upstate New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania in international competition six times (in 1962, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1979), placing as high as eighth and ninth in contests featuring the best choruses in the world. They were the 2007 Seneca Land District Champions.

There are 62 members in the Southerntiersmen who also happen to be teachers, students, farmers, doctors, ministers, engineers, construction workers, dentists and much more.

Their current Repertoire includes songs such as Baby Face, Do you hear he people sign, God Bless the USA, Music Man Medley, Sentimental Journey, Star Spangled Banner, Where the Southern Roses Grow, and many more.
